Request a Business ScanConsultancy for hotels: from concept to day-to-day
Designing a wellbeing programme is easy; sustaining it for twelve months, with a team that turns over, is not. That is why our consultancy does not end in a report: the spa, the gym and the activities are designed with whoever will run them in mind and, if the hotel wants, we implement and run it with Flow, our operational wellbeing methodology.
What we design
01
Concept
Wellbeing concept and strategy
What should your hotel offer, and why?

What we solve
We define what your hotel should offer and why. It is the hotel advisory work that organises everything else: what guests find, in what order and how many times a year.
What it includes
- Wellbeing concept and identity
- Guest journey and protocols
- Programming for the whole year
- Business model and implementation plan
Outcome
A system defined end to end: what to offer, how to run it, who should sustain it and which model makes it viable.
02
Spa
Hotel spa design
Which treatment rooms are needed, and how do people move through the space?

What we solve
We design the concept, layout and equipment of the spa, the wellbeing areas and the holistic spaces, such as the gong room at Cayo Levantado: which treatment rooms are needed, how people move through the space and what has to be able to happen inside. We coordinate the architecture and interior design with the architect, so it gets built as it was conceived. It works for a new spa and for refreshing an existing one.
What it includes
- Concept and layout
- Treatment room design and flow
- Equipment selection
- Coordination of architecture and interior design
Outcome
A project ready to build, with the architect coordinated and a single point of contact.
03
Gym
Hotel gym design
Will it get used, or will it just look good in the photo?

What we solve
A room people use, not one that looks good in the render. Layout, flow, light and equipment selection, designed for the guest who comes down to train at seven in the morning. Hotel gyms are often designed for the photo; we design them for use and, if needed, we run them day to day: group classes, trainers and the gym floor.
What it includes
- Layout and flow
- Light and equipment selection
- Day-to-day operation, if needed
Outcome
A gym that gets used, not just one that looks good.

How we start: a Business Scan before proposing anything
No need to take everything on at once, and no jargon. Before proposing or quoting anything, we look inside your hotel: the space, the team, the current programme and what guests really need.
- What it is
- We look inside your property before proposing or quoting anything.
- Who takes part
- Management and the team that runs it every day: we talk to both.
- What happens next
- You know what you have, what is surplus and where to start. From there, you decide what to take on.

What does a hotel wellbeing consultant do?
They define what wellbeing a hotel offers and how it is sustained: the concept, the spaces (spa, gym and holistic spaces), the equipment, the year's programming and the business model. At Soul Elements we do not stop at design: if the hotel wants, we implement the programme and run it every week with our network of practitioners. We work from Palma de Mallorca for hotels and resorts in Spain and the Caribbean.
Do I have to take on everything?
No. Everything starts with a Business Scan: we look inside the hotel and tell you where we would start. Then you choose just the consultancy, the implementation as well, or daily operation on top. Some hotels only ask us for the design, like the BeGym Tulum gym in Mexico, and others hand us everything, like Cayo Levantado Resort in the Dominican Republic. Each hotel takes on what it needs.
Do you also design the spa's architecture?
We design the concept, layout and equipment of the spa and wellbeing areas: which treatment rooms are needed, how people move through the space and what has to be able to happen inside. We do not sign the architecture and interior design ourselves: we bring in and coordinate the architect, so the build respects what was designed. The hotel has a single point of contact, in the Balearic Islands or any other destination.
Do you work outside the Balearic Islands?
Yes. Soul Elements works from Palma de Mallorca, with projects in Menorca, the Canary Islands, the Dominican Republic and Mexico. We designed and run the wellbeing department at Cayo Levantado Resort in Samaná, and designed the BeGym Tulum gym on the Tulum coast. The methodology is built to run anywhere: from one destination to the next, the local team changes, not the way we work.
What is a Business Scan?
It is the first step of any project with Soul Elements. Before proposing or quoting anything, we look at the hotel's spa, gym and wellbeing areas, talk to management and to the team that runs it every day, and review its current calendar. At the end you know what you have, what is surplus and where to start, and you decide what to take on. We do it for hotels in the Balearic Islands, the rest of Spain and the Caribbean.
Let's talk about your hotel.
Tell us what you have and we will tell you where we would start. We reply within 24 hours.
